While getting ready for a game of Bingo, Mount Vernon senior citizens got a surprise visit from Mayor Clinton Young.  In collaboration with the Department of Recreation, Mayor Young distributed turkeys to seniors at the Armory on North Fifth Avenue just days before Christmas. Elders waited in line as Mayor Young and Armory staff unloaded dozens of frozen turkeys and handed one per family.

Long time Mount Vernon residents expressed their gratitude and shook hands with the mayor as they waited patiently in line.
